There’s so much that is special about Westwell’s wines. Not only the gorgeous labels, but what’s inside the bottle too. In this case, it’s a Special Pink bubbly made of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with just a dash of Chardonnay, resulting in a beautiful salmon-coloured sparkling rosé. With over three years on the lees, this is not only pretty but plush too with rich and complex autolytic aromas. A gorgeous sparkling rosé to woo with.

Serving suggestions

Serve chilled. This is a wonderfully aromatic sparkling wine so serve it in a wide-rimming sparkling wine glass if you can. The flamboyant red berry aromas make it perfect with strawberry tarts or Black Forest gateau, but this is also a dry and complex wine which would also suit a sophisticated fish dinner with lobster, crayfish or caviar. Perfect for canapés, mains and dessert!

Tasting Notes

The first sensation of Westwell’s Special Pink is the abundant aromas of fresh wild strawberries and raspberries, but there’s an undercurrent of much richer notes of butter shortbread and pastry dough. This is one of those sparkling wine which comfortably ticks all boxes: aromatic, lively and yet rich.
